# ChartRecon > ChartRecon provides citation-anchored clinical analysis of medical records, medical bills, and future-care projections (life care plans) for the defense side of personal injury and casualty claims. Every finding is cited to a specific page in the record and to a published source: clinical guidelines, CMS data, or coding authorities. ChartRecon LLC is based in Austin, Texas. It is not a law firm and does not practice medicine; its deliverables support the independent judgment of counsel, claims professionals, and retained experts. ## What ChartRecon measures Four axes, each against published standards: - Medical necessity: whether the treatment was indicated for the documented clinical presentation. - Causation: whether the claimed care is related, measured against the record and published relatedness criteria. - Cost reasonableness: billed or projected care compared with CMS data and applicable benchmarks. - Record consistency: whether bills, notes, and projections agree with the rest of the file. Each line item is classified as Supported, Partially supported, or Unsupported. ## Who it is for Claims organizations, defense counsel, third-party administrators (TPAs), self-insured employers, and the experts they retain. ## Process 1. Records intake through a secure portal (medical records, billing, any existing life care plan or demand). 2. Analysis across the four axes. 3. Verification gates before delivery, with every finding cited to specific pages. 4. Delivery of a citation-anchored work product for the defense team and its experts. ## Security AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit; US-only processing and storage; tenant isolation; customer data is never used to train or fine-tune AI models. ## Founders - Daniel Frederick, MD — Co-founder & CEO.
